I get all kinds of calls when it comes to headshots. Some people know exactly what they want and some people only know they need to get it done. Here is what I am here to tell you. A headshot should be a reflection of you! I don’t care what you do. I don’t care if you own your own business or if you are in the corporate world. In todays world it is usually easy to find multiple people who do what you do. So why would someone choose you? Especially now that so many decisions are made online? First impressions happen online. Why is someone picking you? I will tell you. People do business with people they LIKE, KNOW and TRUST. 
So if a client needs to sell their house and they got five referrals, probably the first thing they will do is look these people up online. 
Anyone who has posted a selfie or cropped themselves out of a wedding picture… sorry to tell you, you are out. 
Maybe the next two went to a one size fits all photographer and their images are good but not personable and are pretty indistinguishable from each other. 
Uhh Ohh maybe one realtor can’t even be found online. AHH
But what if one realtor took time to look professional, relatable and show personality. 
Boom that creates connection. 
So I always give my wardrobe tips and tricks to my clients. However, I want my clients to bring their own style and their own personality to a shoot. Headshots are not intended to be cookie cutter. If you end up with an image that looks like everyone else than what good did that do you at all?
